Program Director
The Program Director oversees daily operations of Focus Sports programs, managing coaching staff, coordinating schedules, and communicating with families. This role ensures every session reflects our GAMES values and "everyone learns, everyone plays" philosophy. The ideal candidate is organized, passionate about youth development, and skilled at building community while handling logistics and supporting coaches in delivering quality programming.
Coach
Coaches at Focus Sports lead practices and games while teaching life skills through sport. You'll create an inclusive environment where every player develops athletically and personally, learning gratitude, accountability, mindfulness, empowerment, and sportsmanship. The ideal coach is passionate about youth development, communicates effectively with players and families, and embraces our philosophy that everyone learns and everyone plays. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a lasting impact on young lives beyond the scoreboard.
Intern
Interns at Focus Sports gain hands-on experience in youth sports programming while supporting coaches and staff during practices and games. You'll assist with player engagement, help set up activities, and learn how to create positive, inclusive environments that foster both athletic and character development. This role is ideal for students or aspiring coaches who want to develop leadership skills, understand youth development principles, and experience our GAMES philosophy in action while contributing to a mission-driven organization.
Requirements
We require all of our coaches to complete a background check in accordance with the National Child Protection Act.
Focus Sports Coaches are contracted employees (1099) and are paid a flat fee per program for their time.
